Latch Hawk Wireless is a fingerboard latch monitoring solution designed to eliminate incidents during racking and handling of tubulars.
“Ghost pipe” incidents occur when there is a mismatch between the physical position of a tubular in a fingerboard slot, and the pipe tally.
This can lead to dropped pipe incidents when an operator opens latches, unaware of tubulars in slots, causing a drop from the fingerboard.
Latch Hawk is a network of wireless, retrofittable sensors that confirm the actual position, and condition, of fingerboard latches and detects the presence of tubular in the slot, eliminating the risk of dropped or ‘ghost pipe’ incidents.
